With the fast growth in economy and globalization, leading universities and institutions has started to recruit international students to come and study in Vietnam, which make the country comes closer to multi-culturalization and integration.
Established in September 2006, FPT University was the first private school established by the enterprise. Since 2013, the university has recruited international to study both full-time programs and exchange courses. Up to now, FPT University has had more than 300 international students studying full- time programs from different countries and regions in the world including Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Laos, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nigeria, etc. In addition, in early August, FPT International Student Exchange Center (FISEC) of FPT University received about 80 international students coming to Vietnam for internships, cultural exchanges, English learning and community experiences. Vietnam is on the way pursuing accreditation for more education programs. According to latest update of Vietnam Government Portal on education (5 August 2016), Vietnam has 62 internationally accredited programs nationwide by prestigious organizations namely ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology certification, USA), AUN – QA (Quality Assurance In Asean University Network), FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation), ISO 9001: 2008, etc.
In 2012, FPT University became the first university in Vietnam to be awarded a 3-star ranking by the QS World University Ranking System, equal to University of London South Bank (UK), Lobachesky University (Russia), etc. Especially, FPT University has attained 5 stars (maximum star level) for 4 criteria including Teaching with 100% curriculum from foreign country. Training programs follow international standards such as ABET and ACM, as well as updated regularly.
In addition, FPT University has received many prestigious awards for training quality including Best 1000 Business Schools in more than 150 countries in the world by Eduniversal (USA).
In the list published by UniRank on August 2018, FPT University ranked fourth among nearly 70 top universities in Vietnam. Previously, on June 2018, FPT University is officially recognized as an Associate Membership of ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). AUN – QA is a non-profit organization in Quality Assurance Training for ASEAN University to realise the mission of harmonising educational standards and seeking continuous improvement of academic quality of universities in ASEAN. On June 2016, the university became a member of ACBSP. On April 2017, it became a full member of the CDIO Association.
According to the statistics, 98% of students have jobs after 3 months of graduation and their salary is 27% higher than the normal level. Among them, 31% have worked for FPT Corporation while 4.5% started up their businesses and 19% worked in foreign countries or foreign companies.
