“VIETNAM 360” FAM TRIP CALLS FOR PARTICIPANTS

The first Vietnam Student Mobility FAM Trip with the theme of “Vietnam 360” will be held from March 2 – 4, 2020 in Hoi An ancient town and Da Nang city, Vietnam. The event aims to bring student mobility program coordinators, professors and international relation officers from Japan a closer look into Vietnam, while proving the delivery capacity of FPT University in the industry.

Within the FAM trip, participants will have chances to join a Campus tour on FPT University and FPT Software; attending a special Workshop on student mobility movement in Vietnam; On-site visits at FPT- UBD English Center and internship companies to have an actual look on how programs for Japanese students have been implemented over the years. Besides, cultural activities such as Japan Culture Day and the Local touch experiences (in Hoi An and Da Nang) promise to bring participants the unique experiences that are often tailored for Japanese students.

“It is our ambition to showcase Vietnam capacity in organizing student mobility programs, create opportunities for participants to network and share ideas with university leaders and professors, thereby enhancing international collaboration in higher education and student exchange activities.”, said Dr. Le Truong Tung, FPT University President.

Da Nang – voted as the most livable city in Vietnam

In recent years, Vietnam has been appearing as a student mobility favorite destination to Japanese high schools and universities. In 2018, more than 7000 students from Japan high schools and universities experienced student mobility programs in Vietnam, ranging from cultural exchange to specialized academic courses like IT Project based learning, English course or Global Internship (MEXT statistic 2018). Since the beginning of 2020, two government has agreed on stepping up cooperation between two countries, especially in education. More than 1000 delegates from different ministries and institutions has paid a visit to Hoi An and Da Nang for several agreements on education, economy and culture exchange.

In 2019, FPT University welcomed 500 Japanese students for mobility programs

With 10 years experience in organizing student mobility programs for higher institutions all over the world and same for Japanese institutions, FPT University has been receiving and organizing programs for more than 5000 international students up to now through cultural exchange, internship, study tour stretching from Hanoi, Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh campus.
