Swinburne Vietnam holds Virtual Opening and Orientation for students

On September 20, the Virtual Opening ceremony of Swinburne University of Technology (Vietnam) was recently held and live-streamed on the university’s fanpage with the attendance of students, staff, and lecturers from different locations.

During the opening program, Mrs. Robyn Mudie – Australian Ambassador in Vietnam sent her congratulations and helpful advice to Swinburne Vietnam freshmen: “Australia is always a great destination for Vietnamese students with more than 25,000 students enrolled as of June 2020. With the increasing number, about 7,500 students are currently studying Australian courses in Vietnam. You should be proud of your right choice”.

Swinburne Australia professors guide students about the resources of Swinburne Australia that they can use.

She shares that academic experience and student experience are considered as the heart of Australian higher education and study programs in this country are rigorously accredited internationally to ensure quality. She emphasized on developing global citizenship skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication, creativity, etc. to become an elite workforce in the future of Vietnam.

Students are very interested in policy, transfer scholarships and future career opportunities in Australia.

As alumni of Swinburne Australia, a Business lecturer at Swinburne Vietnam – Dr. Le Tien Dat shares with students about the learning method and process.

After the opening ceremony, on September 21, new K2 students of Swinburne Vietnam had a chance to attend an orientation with lecturers from Swinburne Vietnam and Australia. 

During this session, professors from Swinburne Australia instructed new students on how to access Swinburne Australia’s student account and the resources that students would be provided from the university. 

Staff and lecturers are very excited to check-in.

The new students showed great interest in Swinburne Australia’s policies for students of Swinburne Vietnam, especially transfer policies, transfer scholarships and career opportunities. These questions were explained enthusiastically by the professors who also shared tips to be able to win scholarships and find a job in Australia while studying at Swinburne Vietnam.

The orientation ended with a share of effective study secrets from excellent K1 students for new students.
