Among 10 students nationwide, three students of FPT University including Do Xuan Viet (Software Engineering), Tran Ngoc Nhat Huyen (Computer Science) and Tran Nho Hoai Bac (Electronics and Communications) of FPT University are recently selected to join the Telecom Seeds for the Future 2017. This is the second time that FPT University have students joining this program.
“I feel very surprised and happy. At the interview, I was not sure if I would be selected, because only 10 students can join this program,” said Do Xuan Viet. “Currently, I am still very excited for this learning and exchange trip”.
The Telecom Seeds for the Future 2017 program is designed for students in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This is the second time Huawei has brought this global scholarship program to Vietnam. After a period of careful selection from leading universities in the field of ICT across the country, the organization selected 10 outstanding students to attend. The program will take place in two weeks, from October 8 to October 22 in Beijing and Shenzhen (China).
Tran Ngoc Nhat Huyen – the only girl in the team shared that this scholarship is extremely valuable and meaningful opportunity for her to learn in a new country. “Through this trip I really want to learn about ICT in other countries as well as other leading technology universities in Vietnam,” Huyen noted.
A lot of students are wondering about the secret which help them gain the scholarship and thought it will be an interview under high pressure. However, the fact seems to be completely different. “In addition to a few professional questions, the interview is more like a comfortable and very close conversation. I’m not stressed at all,” said Do Xuan Viet.
Sharing about the difficulties, Tran Ngoc Nhat Huyen said that she had to record to introduction clips 15 times due to her small mistake but fortunately she finally have an excellent product which was selected.
“I want to send a special thank Ms. Pham Tuyet Hanh Ha – Head of Student Affairs for spending a lot of time to urgently prepare necessary documents for us to complete the application,” Tran Nho Hoai Bac added.
Launched in 2008, the Telecom Seeds for the Future program has become Huawei’s leading CSR project worldwide. By 2016, the program has collaborated with more than 280 universities in 96 countries. About 30,000 students have benefited from the program and 2,700 students have come to China for training.
