The construction of Data Center in Danang will strengthen FPT Telecom capacity to meet the increasing demand for data storage and online services of enterprises as well as individuals.
On May 21, Deputy Director of FPT Telecom- Mr. Vu Anh Tu, Director of FPT Telecom Region 4 Nguyen The Quang, the project team and local authority joined groundbreaking ceremony of Data Center in FPT Complex in Da Nang.
Located on an an area of 652m2, Data Center has 4 floors with a total floor area of 2,000 m2. The first Data Center of FPT Telecom in Central Vietnam is expected to be built in 12 months. In particular, the investment preparation period is two months; the design phase is two months and the construction phase is about 8 months.
Data center project of Da Nang aims to adapt the storage needs of enterprises and individuals, especially to develop diversified services as well as infrastructure for leasing domain names, server hosting and cloud services. This data center also helps FPT Telecom to increase its capacity to meet the increasing demand for data storage and online services of enterprises and individuals, especially for industry revolution 4.0.
FPT Telecom continues to set a strong goal of investing in infrastructure and large projects such as deploying large scale data center construction projects in Tan Thuan and District 9 (Ho Chi Minh City), Da Nang and Cau Giay (Hanoi) with a total value of more than VND 1 trillion (USD 44 million); investing in the AAE-1 sea cable line and the north-south line.
Currently, FPT Telecom owns two Data Centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Data Center in Tan Thuan EPZ – DC, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City was built on an area of nearly 6,000 m2, accommodating more than 800 racks. Data Center EPZ has grown tremendously in technology and engineering, raising a new level in infrastructure design, operational process, design process, etc. In Hanoi, FPT Telecom owns Data Center Pham Hung at FPT Cau Giay Building, which meets the standard of Uptime Tier III data center.
In 2018, FPT Telecom set a revenue target of VND 8.67 trillion (USD 381 million), up 13.3% compared to 2017. Pretax profit is expected to get VND 1.4 trillion (USD 61.5 million), up 14.6% compared to 2017.
