FPT students learn the tricks to start a digital business

Eighty students from FPT Greenwich Vietnam recently attended a workshop entitled “Social – Commerce: Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age”. It was held at Pham Thu Thu Campus in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of Mr. Mathijs Eefting- CEO at Mooteefe from UK, Ms. Le Giang – Growth Manager at Mooteefe from UK and Ms. Truong To Linh – CEO of IFIND Vietnam.

The workshop is an open discussion on e-commerce including exploring career opportunities in the industry, positioning the digital marketer and selling products successfully on social networks.

As an attractive topic, the hall was fully occupied with students specialized in Marketing Management, Design and Business Administration. Students came to the workshop with the desire to learn more knowledge and orientation for themselves in the future.

The workshop started by a short introduction of Ms. Le Giang from Moteefe about e-commerce. She shared that with the popularity and development of technology and social networking sites, e-commerce has become increasingly important in business and a favorable environment for students to start their own businesses.

Then CEO Mathijs Eefting from the UK also shared how young people could bring their ideas into reality and make money through e-commerce such as the website of Moteefe. Mathijs also listened to the students’ questions and gave them more knowledge about starting a business and realizing the daring ideas they cherish.

In the second part of the workshop, students had chance to listen the share from CEO Truong To Linh at iFind Vietnam. IFind is a discount code hunter application that helps users find coupons and promotions with many big brands such as Viettel, Aeon Mall, Burger King, Calvin Klein, CGV, Circle Km, Tiki, Adayroi, etc. spreading in many areas such as retail, mobile, telecommunication, fashion, food,etc. With the success of iFind, Ms. Linh has added more experience for students on Start- up and employment opportunities.

With his experience in building iFind, To Linh has fostered the entrepreneurial spirit of the students.

“The workshop has brought me opportunities to discuss with many interesting presenters and especially with foreigners to improve my English skill,” said Ms. Thu Tram, a student majoring in Business Administration “The sharing of Moteefe and iFind is great motivation for us to orient and start the business later”.

Through the “Social – Commerce: Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age” workshop, the “future entrepreneurs” had useful information about the tools and methods of business operation in the e- commerce age.

Not only attract students but also attract students who are still classified with the field of study, the workshop has partly meet the demand for learning the actual business while sitting on. School seats and motivation to develop future investment ideas.
