FPT Software kick- off the largest campus in Saigon Hi-tech Park

F-Town 3 has a total investment capital of VND 800 billion (USD 35.1 million), serving 7,500 employees.

FPT Software recently kicked- off FPT Software Research and Development Center (F-Town 3) in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City on January 15 with the construction area of 6.9 ha.

According to Nguyen Duc Quynh- Director of FPT Software HCM, the company continues to expand its facilities in Ho Chi Minh City to reach 30,000 people by 2020, of which, the staff of FPT Software HCM will be around 10,000.

F- Town 3 is also the largest software centre in the District 9 in High-Tech Park. With the launch of F-Town 1 (2011) and F-Town 2 (2014), FPT Software HCM has become a Vietnamese enterprise with highest investment capital in Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP), equivalent to VND 1.2 trillion (USD 52.7 million).

According to FPT Software’s Chairman Hoang Nam Tien, F-Town 1 and F-Town 2 has enough space for 1,500 people and 1,700 people, respectively. “ Upon completion, FPT- Town 3 will have 10,000 engineers working here in 2022,” Tien said.

F-Town 3 has a total investment of VND 800 billion ((USD 35.1 million) with 7 floors and a basement. The building includes the office area; research and development center; training area; relaxation and entertainment area, cafeteria, kindergarten and health room. F-Town 3 is specially designed with natural light and garden to bring harmony with nature and save energy.

The unit’s global partners also attended the event.

After more than 13 years of operation, FPT Software Ho Chi Minh City has reached 3,500 employees with turnover of VND 1.3 trillion (USD 57 million), accounting for 25% of total staff and 20% of FPT Software’s revenue. FPT Software HCM is also the largest IT enterprise in the city.

In 2018, FPT Software HCM aims to grow 30% of revenue, contributing 20% to total revenue of FPT Software. In order to meet this target, in 2018, FPT Software HCM needs to recruit 2,000 people in all positions including programmers, software testers, project managers, etc. In particular, more than 50% of recruitment positions are junior and senior graduates of information technology universities in the city or neighboring provinces.

So far, FPT owns 17 offices and complexes throughout the country. After F-Town 3, in early 2018, FPT will commence two more office complexes including F-Ville 3 at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi and FPT University in Danang.

In the past 10 years, FPT’s staff has grown at nearly 16% per year. It is expected that in the period 2018-2020, FPT will maintain its growth rate of 18% and reach more than 50,000 by 2020. Therefore, FPT has always pioneered the construction of large complexes and software park campus, following the model of large corporations in the world.
