FPT Software and Futurenuri from South Korea recently introduced integrated e-library solution on September 26 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Accordingly, FPT Software is Futurenuri’s exclusive Asia Pacific partner in the commercialization and development of the TULIP system, firstly in Vietnam and then in the Asian market.
TULIP integrated e-library is a collaborative research and development product of FPT Software and Futurenuri, the leading digital library company in Korea. TULIP is based on the cloud computing platform with outstanding features such as convenient and powerful searching capabilities; personalization and optimization of user information; multi-browser; data access point extension through external data links etc.
TULIP stands for Triple U Library Information Portal, which 3Us includes:
- Unified: Integrate all function & can manage all kind of information resource
- Universal: Widely used system surpassing country, language, size of library
- Ubiquitous: Future-oriented system leading the high information technologies
Previously, TULIP has been deployed at the Vietnam People’s Police Academy with several components including user interface, data search service, personal library services, online reference service and other services on mobile devices. The People’s Police Academy has set great expectations for replacing the traditional library system with TULIP. With more outstanding features, the new system has made the school library operations smooth and optimal. According to the People’s Police Academy, the TULIP system is suitable and meets the library’s academic needs.
Speaking at the event, Vu Duong Thuy Nga, Head of the Library Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: “With many advanced features, TULIP electronic library system provides organizations in Vietnam an effective choice to develop digital libraries in accordance to the Master Plan for the Development of Vietnam’s Library System to 2020 as well as meet the needs of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution”.
TULIP digital library has been successfully deployed by Futurenuri for around 500 customers in the South Korean market and seven markets in the world including Romania, Columbia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Vietnam. TULIP is built in compliance with the international standards, supports multiple languages (including Vietnamese) and works with all the different types of libraries and future technology trends.
Previously, FPT Software succeeded in developing a public e-library system for Japan which was highly appreciated by customers. In the development strategy of FPT Software, in addition to further expanding its business activities in foreign markets, the company accelerates the provision of IT services to customers in the domestic market. In particular, the provision of IT solutions with international standards for organizations and institutions in the field of education is one of the main directions.
