On October 4, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh had a special talk with FPT K13 students under the theme “Vietnam war and Lesson Learned in the 4.0 Revolution”. This is an important part of the intensive military training month of FPT University students at the National Defense Education Center 2 in Xuan Hoa, Vinh Phuc.
“Congratulations! You officially become students of FPT University. We wish you the best time of learning and developing yourself at this creative university,” Chairman Truong Gia Binh opened the talk with a proud greeting and a warm welcome from K13 students of FPT University. The talk seemed to be no distance when Mr. Binh always actively interacted closely and friendly with students.
Through stories told by Chairman, the talk was more interesting, especially it has become a mini game for new students to answer questions about Vietnam war and 4.0 Revolution to win points. This is a way that Mr. Binh chose to be closer with the students, increase interactivity and create a warm atmosphere of conversation. In addition, it also stimulates students’ knowledge and help them remember the knowledge.
“I find it extremely hard to talk to such a large audience like this with more than 1,300 students,” he also stated. “I always try to go to Xuan Hoa because in these first days at FPT University, you are willing to open up to share many new ideas”. He also appreciated the enthusiasm, quick and accurate reaction as well as high interaction of K13 students.
During the talk, anyone can easily realize Mr. Binh’s knowledge not only in Vietnam but also in the world. He had used the quotation from President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap effectively to inspire students.
Chairman Truong Gia Binh had the opportunity to meet and talk with many excellent Generals of Vietnam such as General Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Minh Thao, Hong Cu,etc. Through these meetings, he has summarized a lot of lessons for the FPT Corporation. “Meeting these famous generals is a great opportunity for me to study tactics to defeat our competitor in technology battle,” he proudly said. “Especially, the advice of General Giap helped FPT successfully exported software in 1999”.
Revolution 4.0 is also a hot topic when Mr. Binh asked a lot of questions about the history of the Industrial Revolution, especially the Revolution 4.0. “The revolution is taking place very quickly and definitely affecting on you so the whole university including teachers and students need to quickly change the training and learning method to have a suitable human resource for the digital world,” he emphasized.
According to Chairman Truong Gia Binh, Viet Nam in particular and the world in general lacks of human resources on engineering and technology. He expected that FPT students will ensure safety and security, apply programming to real life not only for the information system of Vietnam but also all over the world.
