On September 13, FPT celebrated its 29th anniversary of establishment. After 29 years, FPT has reached 30,000 staff and is present in 21 countries. In addition to the millions of individual customers who are using the telecom and internet services, FPT is providing IT services to more than 450 large corporations worldwide and hundreds of corporate clients in Viet Nam.
The festival on September 13 is a major activity of FPT, held annually on the birthday of the corporation. This year, under the 29th anniversary of FPT Corporation (September 13, 1988 – September 13, 2017), the festival was held on the same day in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In the Central, the festival took place earlier in the evening of September 8 in Da Nang.
FPT Education played a role as Harry Porter during its performance showing its dream of becoming a large organization, for all ages and levels. Each education and training sector is a segment of the opera with a great mission. Viewers are experiencing different levels of emotion.
As the largest IT service company in Vietnam, in the period 2017-2019, FPT will focus on the goal of “Pioneering the digital revolution”. Accordingly, FPT will focus on linking with customers and the world’s leading technology companies to provide digital products/ services to pioneer in the transition to the digital world. Currently, FPT is the only partner in the ASEAN region of General Electric (GE) on IIoT; a special partner of Amazon Web Services (AWS) with over 200 technology certifications and a partner of Siemen on MindSphere technology.
In the first seven months of 2017, FPT recorded consolidated sales of VND 23.6 trillion (around USD1 billion), increasing 13% compared to the same period last year. Earning before tax (EBT) reached VND1.7 trillion (USD 74.8 million) , up 19% over the same period. Revenue and profit from foreign markets reached VND3.6 trillion (USD160 million), up 16% and VND 533 billion (USD 23.4 million), up 24%, respectively compared to the same period last year. FPT is striving to reach $1 billion in revenue from overseas markets by 2020.
