FPT entered the top 50 largest software companies in Japan after 15 years of operating here.
According to the data of VnDirect, FPT Software Japan is a technology enterprise with the largest personnel scale in Japan. The company currently has 12 offices with more than 1,500 employees and 8,000 technology engineers in Vietnam whose Japanese are fluent to support projects with remote customers. FPT has become a strategic technology partner of a series of Japanese giants with billions of dollars in revenue such as Honda, SCSK, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc.
In 15 years, FPT Japan has always kept the growth rate of 30 per cent per year. This is also the most important market in the field of software export of FPT, contributing over 50 per cent of total revenue from overseas markets.
FPT Japan paved the way for other Vietnamese businesses to enter this market, and built strong relationships with organizations, associations and enterprises in Japan.
In April 2020, FPT became a member of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) – one of the most influential organizations in external economic and economic development policy, with the desire to become a bridge connecting the business community of two countries.
Recognizing the contributions of FPT Japan during the past 15 years, on November 11, the Company received the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Information and Communications for its contributions to the Vietnam Information and Communications industry.

Japan has always been considered a key market in FPJ’s globalization strategy. Currently, the group has mastered the most modern technologies such as AI, RPA, Blockchain, Low-Code, etc. FPT Japan has also invested in 15 dormitories with nearly 500 rooms, and 188 private homes across Japan, serving long-term Vietnamese employees.
In the next 5 years, FPT Japan aims to be in the top 20 largest technology enterprises in Japan, with revenue of USD 600 million and contribute to helping leading corporations in this country transform digitally. The company will continue to promote business models that focus on each of the traditional key industries such as manufacturing, finance, and logistics; as well as aim to build promising areas to create a premise for cooperation in new industries such as telecommunications, utility services and healthcare.
