On the afternoon of November 27, the organizer of Vietnam HR Awards 2018 recently announced to honour 14 enterprises with excellent human resource management and training model in Vietnam. FPT was pleased to receive two prestigious awards including Best Companies with Effective Human Resource Development and Best Companies to Work For in 2018.
Vietnam HR Awards 2018 and International Conference were held in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a pioneering event which has brought the motivation to enable excellent policies and personnel strategies.
Ms. Yên Trinh – CEO of Talentnet and representative of organizer, said that after more than 6 months of surveying and observing, 14 outstanding enterprises were assessed and awarded by the Organizing Committee. There were about 28 prizes. FPT was pleased to receive two prestigious prizes including Best Companies with Effective Human Resource Development and Best Companies to Work For in 2018.

Previously, at the HR Asia Award 2018 on September 14, FPT was honored as one of 28 Vietnam’s and one of 130 Asia’s best companies to work for in Asia in 2018. This is the first year that HR Asia Magazine – Asia’s most authoritative publication for senior HR professionals, puts Vietnam on the list of countries surveyed and honored. In order to be in this list, FPT has passed four steps of Nomination Process including Eligibility, Judging, Confidentially and Survey.
fter 30 years of operation, FPT currently has more than 33,000 employees with an average age of 28 years and locates in 33 countries. There are 1,424 foreign employees with 29 nationalities. In the last 10 years, FPT’s staff has grown nearly 16% per year. It is expected that in the period 2018 – 2020, FPT will maintain the growth rate of about 18% and reach the scale of more than 50,000 employees by 2020.

The structure and quality of FPT’s human resources is stable with the percentage of workers with bachelor and post-graduate degrees accounting for 60.3% of the total staff, equivalent to 19,368 people (up 6% year on year compared to 2017). The total number of engineers, programmers and technology specialists was 13,400, an increase of nearly 10%, accounting for 42% of the total human resources. The rate of young staff continues to be maintained in recent years, in 2017, the amount of young staff under 30 years old accounted for 73.6%, in line with sectoral characteristics.

In 2017, FPT continued to invest heavily in training activities with a budget of VND 77.9 billion (USD 3.33 million), an increase of nearly VND 40 billion (USD 1.7 million) compared to 2016. The number of training hours is also impressive compared to 2016, especially the number of IT certificates for staff doubled over the same period, of which the majority are related to the trend of Industry 4.0 such as cloud computing, IoT, etc.
