On May 25th, Vinpearl Joint Stock Company and FPT Polytechnic signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding providing human resources. Ms. Phan Hong Nhung, Human Resources Manager of Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, and Mr. Vu Chi Thanh, FPT Polytechnic Director and representatives of related parties participated in the event.
Accordingly, Vinpearl will provide scholarships as well as extended opportunities of summer internships for FPT Polytechnic students who have excellent academic achievements. The Memorandum of Understanding opens the employment opportunities for FPT students in the industry of hospitality, restaurants and hotels, and relieves the thirst of quality human resources for Vinpearl’s world class hotel and resort chain.
FPT Polytechnic students are also trained as full-time employees in 2-4 months. The unit facilitates facilities, appoints staff and participates directly in the company’s projects…
Ms. Nhung said that based on the demand for human resources in the whole system, Vinpearl will make an “order” with the university. For example, the need of personnel (in which position) of Vinpearl in Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc or Halong. Meanwhile, students will also register their aspirations with the university in order for the company to arrange and balance.
Vinpearl also hopes that FPT Polytechnic will focus on language training so that students’ communication skills are constantly improved. “The unit is recruiting personnel for positions of which will be in direct contact with clients such as front desk staff, lobby, luggage … Sufficient ability of foreign language is a great advantage for students to serve customers. Those who fully satisfy the requirements during their internships will be hired as full-time employees, “she said.
The training program of FPT Polytechnic is consulted by the leading council of Vietnamese scientists in the field of tourism – restaurants – hotel and is evaluated by companies, hotels, resorts and restaurants which are famous in HCMC and Da Nang. The school uses the project-based learning approach, which means learning through real-world projects and blended learning methods – with 70% of the time practicing to help students develop a comprehensive range of work skills.
Every year, FPT Polytechnic has signed a agreement of co-operation with businesses to ensure that the environment of internship and jobs for students after graduation. By the end of 2016, 21 enterprises in the field of information technology, economic-business and tourism-hotel sectors had signed agreements of cooperation in training human resources with FPT Polytechnic. Accordingly, partner businesses are committed to providing jobs for 100% of FPT Polytechnic students upon graduation. This is the signing ceremony of the biggest agreement of co-operation with FPT Polytechnic, which emphasizes the two objectives of co-operation: developing quality human resources and ensuring total support for businesses’ recruitment.
